Delaware does not have a state-wide tax on real property. Property taxes in Delaware are based mostly on the school district property taxes, but also on county property taxes (Delaware has three counties), vocational school district taxes and, if the property is located within an incorporated area such as an incorporated town, some municipal taxes.

However, for the sake of a rough idea of costs, for most parts of the state it's most common to find that your property tax bill for average sized homes will range from $800-$1500 a year.
